In the heart of Mableton, Georgia, real change isn’t happening in boardrooms; it’s happening in the streets, in shelters, and wherever help is needed most. Jeff Padgett is one of those rare community leaders who doesn’t just talk about service, he lives it. As a tireless advocate for veterans and individuals experiencing homelessness, Jeff has become a driving force behind hands-on outreach, community donation drives, and volunteer-led action that delivers hope where it matters most. As the Founder of Friends of Mableton Volunteers, Director at the South Cobb Lions Club, and Owner and CEO of Jeff’s Precision Painting, Jeff now joins forces with Reachout America to expand his mission, proving that when community, compassion, and purpose align, lives are truly changed.
“GOD is good” those were the first words Jeff Padgett shared with us, and they perfectly capture the heart behind the work he continues to do in the Mableton community.
Jeff has been on the front lines serving struggling veterans and individuals experiencing homelessness, leading with faith, compassion, and action. Through the collective efforts of caring neighbors, generous donors, and local partners, lives were touched in a very real way.
Together, the community was able to distribute 14 tents and 16 sleeping bags, along with much-needed beanies, gloves, socks, hand warmers, and scarves, providing warmth, dignity, and hope during a critical time. This outreach was a powerful reminder of what happens when people come together with a shared purpose.
A special thank you goes to Friendship Revival Church for blessing the Mableton community and opening their hearts to serve. With the support of friends, neighbors, and resources provided by Reachout America, more than $1,000 was raised to support the homeless in Mableton, a true testament to community-driven impact.
