Reachout America’s Appreciation BBQ Lights Up Piedmont Park
This past Independence Day, Reachout America lit up more than just fireworks; we lit up hearts, smiles, and community spirit at our July 4th Appreciation BBQ at Piedmont Park.
From 1 PM to 4 PM, the park was alive with laughter, unity, and good old-fashioned American pride. Thanks to a generous sponsorship from a major corporation, which asked not to be named, that matched every donation we received, we were able to go above and beyond for the veterans, volunteers, and families who give so much to their communities.
We served up mouthwatering BBQ, ice-cold drinks, and sanitation bags to ensure everyone could enjoy themselves safely. One of the most powerful moments of the day was when we handed out “Fallen But Not Forgotten” appreciation coins, a heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom.
Families brought lawn chairs, kids joined in on fun games, and the whole event pulsed with the kind of love and connection that reminds us why we do what we do.
Whether you were a veteran, a supporter, or simply someone who believes in showing up for others, this event was for you. It wasn’t just a celebration of America’s independence; it was a celebration of the people who make America stronger every single day.
We’re incredibly thankful to everyone who came out, donated, volunteered, and made this event a massive success. You didn’t just show up, you showed love.
Here’s to community. Here’s to service. Here’s to never forgetting what freedom really means.
Until next year, stay safe, stay grateful, and stay connected. 🇺🇸
