She graduated from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, proving that commitment to education and personal development can open new doors, no matter where you start in life. Erica also embraced her role as a wife and mother of three, balancing her responsibilities with the same determination that carried her through the Navy. But in 2010, tragedy struck when she lost her husband. It was a devastating chapter, yet Erica leaned on her faith, her children, and the lessons life had taught her about courage in the face of adversity.
