Today, we honor the life of Ralph Eugene Chancey, an entrepreneur from Florida whose journey continues to inspire. Born on March 8, 1944, in Plant City, Florida, Ralph grew up with humble beginnings but carried within him a strong work ethic and a dream to create something meaningful. By the age of 28, Ralph had achieved what many thought impossible; he became a self-made millionaire through real estate sales. His success was not just measured in wealth, but in his determination, vision, and ability to see opportunities where others saw obstacles.
Beyond his career, Ralph was a man who truly embraced life after sufering from 2 heart transplants in his 50's. He found joy in watching movies, traveling, aviation, working, and boating, always chasing new experiences with curiosity and energy. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his devotion to family. Married to Linda Kay Chancey for 60 years, Ralph built not just a business legacy but also a family legacy filled with love and support. Together, they raised two children, Michael (with his wife Diane) of Valrico and Karen of Tampa, who carry forward his values of perseverance and faith.
Ralph’s life serves as a reminder that dreams are attainable through hard work, courage, and persistence. He embodied the spirit of entrepreneurship and the heart of service, qualities that align deeply with our mission here at Reachout America. Even in passing on September 10, 2021, at the age of 77, Ralph’s influence remains. His memory continues to inspire others to strive higher, to cherish their families, and to invest in their communities.
